Property Access & Safety Policy

The safety of our team is a priority at Bassham Media. By booking a service with Bassham Media, the client is responsible for ensuring that the property is safe, reasonably accessible, and ready for our team to enter and complete the scheduled services.

Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Bassham Media reserves the right to refuse to enter a property, discontinue services, or leave a property at any time if, in our sole discretion, we believe the property, its occupants, surrounding area, or conditions present a potential safety, health, or security concern.

Our team is not required to remain at a property or complete a service when we feel unsafe or uncomfortable, regardless of whether a specific or immediate threat can be confirmed.

Safety concerns may include, but are not limited to:

-Suspected illegal or criminal activity

-Drug use, drug paraphernalia, or suspected controlled substances

-Threatening, aggressive, intoxicated, or unpredictable individuals

-Unauthorized or unexpected occupants

-Unsafe animals or unsecured pets

-Weapons or other potentially dangerous items or conditions

-Biohazards, bodily fluids, excessive waste, needles, hazardous materials, or severe sanitation concerns

-Significant pest or insect infestations

-Structural hazards, exposed wiring, unstable flooring, fire hazards, or other unsafe property conditions

-Inability to safely access or exit the property

-Any other circumstance that Bassham Media reasonably determines could jeopardize the health, safety, security, or equipment of our team

Charges for Unsafe or Inaccessible Properties

If Bassham Media arrives for a scheduled appointment and determines that the property cannot be safely entered or the service cannot be safely completed due to the property’s condition, occupants, animals, surrounding circumstances, or other conditions outside of our control, the appointment will be considered fulfilled and the client will remain responsible for the full scheduled service fee.

This charge compensates for the appointment time reserved, travel to the property, lost scheduling availability, and disruption caused by a property that was not suitable for the scheduled service.

Occupants & Property Access

Clients are responsible for notifying Bassham Media in advance if the property is occupied. This includes homeowners, tenants, renters, contractors, guests, squatters, or any other individuals who may be present.

Bassham Media may decline to enter an occupied property if our team was not informed beforehand or if the circumstances upon arrival differ materially from the information provided at booking.

Clients are also responsible for ensuring that:

-We have authorized access to the property.

-Necessary keys, lockbox codes, gate codes, or access instructions are accurate and available.

-Occupants have been informed of our scheduled arrival.

-Pets are secured before our arrival.

-Areas being photographed are reasonably accessible and free of known hazards.

No Requirement to Investigate

Bassham Media employees and contractors are photographers and media professionals—not security personnel, property inspectors, or law enforcement. We are not responsible for investigating or determining whether a suspected hazard, substance, person, animal, or activity actually presents a threat.

If something causes our team to reasonably believe that remaining at or entering the property may be unsafe, we may leave immediately.

Emergency Situations

If our team encounters circumstances that appear to present an immediate threat to ourselves or others, we reserve the right to leave the property immediately and, when appropriate, contact the property owner, booking client, property manager, emergency services, or law enforcement.

Client Responsibility

By scheduling services with Bassham Media, the client acknowledges that it is their responsibility to provide a property that is safe and reasonably suitable for the scheduled services.
